Cascade Writers is proud to announce our first Workshop of 2025! Join us for an online workshop as we welcome creative writing and audio performance experts: Travis Baldree and Diana Pho.

This workshop is sure to bring myriad value to your writing. The audio sphere is a huge market for the modern author to explore. It introduces your work to many new readers who might have never seen it otherwise. A good narrator is key to the success of any audiobook, but just as important is that your work is written with audio production in mind.

Register for the workshop now and provide a donation to cover our costs and help us promote our nonprofit mission: empowering writers, nurturing creativity, and inspiring community.

Registrants will be invited to our live video workshop held Saturday, February 15th from 10am to 1pm PST. Topics we’ll be covering include: writing a story with audio in mind, what to know as you pitch your story, avoiding mistakes and/or learning from them, casting, audio publishers, your audio platform, best resources, and more.

Meet our creative audio experts:

(Travis writes his bio in first-person, for that intimate bio-feel…so enjoy that 🙂

I love stories, and I love telling them.

I’m the author of Legends & Lattes, a low-stakes cozy fantasy novel.

I’m a narrator too, and I’ve loved the art since I first heard Frank Muller’s legendary work. I’ve lent my voice to hundreds of books (including my own).

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I get up every morning excited and grateful to do this job.

I’m also an erstwhile veteran game developer, and it’s possible you’ve played something I’ve made. Torchlight, Fate & Rebel Galaxy have sold millions of copies on desktops and consoles. I remain the co-owner and CEO of Double Damage Games.
